On Friday, February 13, 2026, MWSBF had the honor of attending the 4th annual Mardi Gras in the Mountains hosted by the Utah Black Chamber of Commerce.
This year, the Mountain West Foundation (MWSBF’s charitable foundation) was inducted into the Utah Black Chamber of Commerce inaugural Hall of Fame in the Corporate Leadership & Partnership category. This recognition honors the leaders, champions, and legacy builders whose impact has shaped the community and strengthened Utah’s economic ecosystem.
The Mountain West Foundation’s induction is a meaningful acknowledgement of our commitment to supporting underserved and emerging small businesses through our education and grant programs. At the heart of this achievement is Danielle Lower, MWSBF’s Vice President of Community and Economic Development and the Executive Director of the Mountain West Foundation. Danielle has been a driving force in shaping and executing the foundation’s mission. Her dedication to empowering entrepreneurs, particularly those facing systemic barriers, has created a meaningful, lasting impact throughout Utah’s diverse business community.
“At (MWF) we strive to make a difference in the communities where we live and work. That’s why we’re proud to partner with and support such diverse and vibrant community-oriented organizations.” said Danielle.
Mardi Gras in the Mountains was a celebration that we will not soon forget. Our executive leadership was able to attend and cheer on our economic development team as they participated in the People Party Parade with a purpose (in true Mardi Gras fashion). We are grateful to the Utah Black Chamber of Commerce for this recognition and for their ongoing leadership in building a stronger, more equitable business community.
