This year, Julie Dunford celebrated 18 years at Mountain West. She has worked in nearly every department, from origination to closing, and even servicing. In 2015, she left for five years, but we were able to get her back in 2020 during the pandemic.

“She came in clutch – jumped in and submitted 10 loans in our big 69-loan-month. She is ALWAYS willing to help, and she always helps with patience and kindness. She is a true and loyal friend and would do anything for anyone. We will miss her dearly,” said Kay Ward, Vice President, Closing Manager at MWSBF. But says the team is “So happy for Julie to have more time with her family and pickleball.”

It’s not just Julie’s boss who has glowing words about Julie. We asked her teammates to share some sentiments about Julie and her time with Mountain West.

Julie’s Special Talents that Have Helped MWSBF Succeed:

“Julie has this way of making everyone feel comfortable and heard. She’s the kind of person you trust to get things done, and she does it with a kindness that makes people want to work with her.”

“Julie is exceptional at creating a system that works and following it to a T. I remember when she trained me on Fresno’s [paper file submission to the SBA]: her process from start to finish was exceptionally clear and straightforward. I appreciated her attention to detail.”

What Julie Has Brought to the Team:

“She brings heart. She’s easy to talk to, always willing to help, and she makes the team feel like more than just coworkers.”

“We always know she will get the task done. I never worry about insurance on my loans!”

“Julie’s kindness is seen and felt. She makes you feel like you are the best at what you do and makes you feel appreciated in your job. She is personable, and that also makes it easy to get along as a team. She is such a fun coworker to have around!”

People Enjoy Working with Julie Because:

“Everyone loves how genuine she is. She doesn’t just ask how you’re doing; she really wants to know.”

“She is always personable and pleasant to be around!”

“We enjoy everything about Julie! Talking with her and working with her is a pleasure. She is always so positive. She is always quick to tell you that she will do all she can to get the loan submitted as soon as possible.”

What We’ll Miss Most:

“I’ll miss our conversations about life, and the way she always checks in and remembers what’s going on. She is the best!”

“We are going to miss her smile, her laugh, and her kindness. We will miss joking around about her taking zoom calls at the gym or in the garden. We will miss her reliability and swift responses. We will miss talking with her about ‘married life’ and her family. Julie cares about people, and we care about Julie! It’s always hard to see a friend go, even when it’s a happy situation like retirement.”

Congratulations Julie! You’ll be missed, but we are so happy for your next journey!
