Happy 40th ‘Bee Day’ Discovery Gateway

Happy 40th Bee Day Discovery Gateway

The walls and shelves of Mountain West’s chief administrative officer Steve Suite are filled with art, photos and memorabilia. But perhaps the pièce de résistance is the collection of photos capturing moments of pure delight highlighting his family–and especially his grandchildren–over the years at Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum. While Suite has long served as a board member for the museum, the framed collage was gifted to him in honor of his time spent as DG’s chairman of the board (from 2009 – 2011). “I started on the board around the time our first grandchild was born,” Suite said. “Our family has grown up at Discovery Gateway.”

Last weekend, Discovery Gateway unveiled it’s new donor wall “Giving Gears” as part of it’s 40th anniversary (or “Bee-Day Bash” MWSBF helped sponsor) for the children’s museum ; and Suite, Mountain West and a host of other supporters were recognized and honored at the event.

“Mountain West has been a proud supporter of Discovery Gateway since 2003 when the planning began and the Gateway facility was procured,” said Scott Davis, MWSBF chief executive officer. “It’s a privilege and honor to be part of an organization whose entire focus is the education of kids: whether through play, STEAM or socialization. Discovery Gateway looks after kids of all ages. We wish them the best for 40 more.”
