If the only constant is change, than Mountain West Small Business Finance is keeping with the times. The company is changing up things as recently two employees received job promotions:
Kimberly Holley (former Loan Assistant in Orem) has accepted a job transfer and promotion as a Business Development Officer in Salt Lake City. Blake Beck, former Closing Loan Assistant in the Orem office, will take over the position formerly occupied by Holley as Orem’s new Loan Assistant.
Congratulations to both employees! We’ll be spotlighting Kimberly later this month, but first, a look at the Blake Beck:
Mike Vancheire, Senior Vice President for MWSBF with responsibility for oversight of the Orem office said: “Blake Beck has been with MWSBF for almost two years now. He is a hard-working, diligent member of the team. In his time with the CDC, he has forged very favorable relationships with our lending partners and borrowers. He always goes the extra mile and is very considerate and kind to all who he comes in contact with. In his spare time, he is a Champion Team Roper and is a devoted family man. We love and appreciate Blake.”
On a personal note, Blake’s been participating in team roping events in Rodeo’s and Team Roping Jackpot for years. He was even on the Utah Valley University Rodeo Team, and competed at the College National Finals Rodeo. He’s also a huge fan of the outdoors: hunting, fishing and golfing rank at the top; but (as his leadership noted), Blake says nothing competes with fatherhood. He declares his most proud moment was becoming a father to his beautiful daughter, Brightyn – now just over a year old.
In his time at
Mountain West, Blake observed that the company “takes care of their employees and makes it a great working environment.” And says the people are the best part of his job. “Not only in the office but the bankers and borrowers. They are just good people and it’s fun to help them out.”
We asked Blake the Same “Hypothetical” Five Questions:
1. One thing you cannot live without is…
Electricity. (Our power went out for three hours — it was rough.)
2. A new restaurant getting rave reviews just opened up down the street from your house. What would be your favorite three-course meal they serve?
I did not get this “figure” by being picky… I will eat about anything… I have never turned down a Steak, red potato, steamed veggie’s, salad and soda.
3. Time and space are not obstacles: who’s on the guest list at your ultimate dinner party?
I don’t even know…
4. Your dream vacation would be to:
My dream vacation would be a summer chasing the rodeo trail. Travel the western states from rodeo to rodeo. Seeing a lot of cool country and towns along the way.
5. One thing your boss would never guess about you.
I have used a metal detector once (when I was a kid)… I found about 45 cents.
